Childhood Magic Aftercare: 1 - 3 pm $100
Arts, crafts, nature walks, outdoor free play, water play, storytelling, and more led by our early childhood staff from Emerson Waldorf School. Campers will enjoy the outdoors and have fun on our awesome Kindergarten playground! We will offer campers the opportunity to splash in our wading pools every day, so please plan to send them with a bathing suit and towel. Parents can also “opt in” for the additional aftercare from 1:00-3:00, which will include a quiet rest time after we splash. We will send a complete list of suggested items for campers to bring before camp begins.

This whimsical Waldorf-inspired camp invites young adventurers to explore the magic of nature through hands-on, creative activities. Campers will embark on nature walks, observe the wonders of the outdoor world, and immerse themselves in crafting projects inspired by the wonderful forest around us. They will build and fill greenhouses using repurposed materials and design fairy and gnome houses around campus to welcome our wonderful garden helpers. This camp fosters a deep connection to the environment, encouraging imagination, teamwork, and environmental stewardship while nurturing the spirit of play and wonder.

In this fun adventure, campers will create a magical handmade book inspired by the natural world – filled with secret compartments to store pebbles, shells, and other treasures. Using natural dyeing techniques, stenciling, embroidery, and storytelling, campers will spend a week inspired by the outdoors. We will use tea, soymilk, acorns, and dirt to add color to fabrics. We’ll sew, paint, stamp, and sew. Campers will come home with a one-of-a-kind handmade keepsake.

Anything can turn into a musical instrument when you use your imagination! Led by music educator and violist Elias ‘Mr. G’ Gross, students in this camp will create their own musical instruments while learning about wind, percussion, and string instruments, exploring musical foundations of pitch and rhythm, and playing together as an ensemble. Students will design and create instruments from recycled materials representing instruments from each instrument family of the orchestra. No musical experience is required to join this band! Students will present an informal concert at the end of camp and take home all of their creations.

Campers don't have to take themselves too seriously in order to benefit from this skills camp — we will still have lots of fun! They will enjoy working hard and challenging their existing self-beliefs in order to improve their skills. This week will focus on dribbling skills, in-game moves, and basketball IQ awareness as well as defensive skills and schemes. A great camp for those who are looking to improve their overall skill of the game of basketball while making some new friends. Each day we will track the progress of each camper so they can have an overall understanding of how they can continue to grow. Certificates will be given to each participant at the end of the camp.
Coach William Davis is the middle school basketball coach for EWS and has coached basketball in the area for the last 8 years. His focus is always towards growth, enjoyment, and knowledge of the game.
